Meet Your SAND IU President: Elizabeth Kehoe

Year in School: Senior

Major: Dietetics

Favorite Class you have taken at IU:  Physiology and Medical Nutrition Therapy were my favorite classes while at IU.

What you need to know about Elizabeth?

A fun, embarrassing, fact about me is that every member in my family (including myself) has crooked pinkies. I am also a server at Bell Trace, which is an elderly living community in Bloomington. Having the opportunity to interact with the elderly population by working at Bell Trace has been one of the most rewarding and educational experiences of my life. Because of this experience, I strongly suggest that anyone planning on working in the health sciences should make an effort to interact with the elderly, either through work or volunteerism, because this population is growing rapidly among our future patients and clients.

What are Elizabeth's career goals and/or dream job?

I plan to initially work clinically in a hospital, but eventually hope to branch out into either consulting and/or public health promotion focusing on the childhood obesity epidemic.
